WELCOME TO 1 SQUADRON!

We are the Wellington Unit of the Air Training Corps – a youth organisation with a military flavour.

When you join the ATC you get to do lots of stuff that you wouldn’t be able to do with many other organisations. Some activities you will get to experience with ATC include flying a plane (or a glider, or a helicopter!), camping and tramping in New Zealand’s great outdoors, target shooting with our rifles, visiting an operational Air Force Base, challenging other local units in competitions, and making a heap of new friends.

Not only do we help you have great experiences, we help you learn the skills you need to get the most out of them! At 1 Squadron we provide you with the opportunity to meet new people, have fun, gain confidence, learn how to work as a team, and how to be a leader as well.
