Course Aim: The aim of the course is to provide selected NZCF Cadets with the knowledge and skills to perform the duties of a Junior Non-Commissioned Officer within an NZCF Unit.
Course Description: A full-time residential course where theory and practical instruction is provided in Leadership, Squad Handling, Drill Instruction and Oral Presentations.
Student Eligibility: Consideration will be given to NZCF Cadets, who have met the prerequisites, and:
a. Have completed two full years of the Training Syllabus;
b. Are recommended by their CUCDR; and
c. Are approved by their Area Co-ordinator.
Course Requirements: Students are required to complete a pre-course assignment which will be disseminated once the acceptances have been confirmed. The pre-course assignment requires study and research in students own time prior to the course commencement and includes subjects relating to; Terms and Conditions of Membership; Oral Presentation and Squad Handling.
Course Duration (Training Days): 6 working days. Students will also be required to conduct assignment preparation outside of normal working hours whilst on course.
